Humans are always faced with death thoughts and longing for life, and these feelings are never separate from a person, but in societies where the center of political and social tensions is located, the conflict between these two is more felt in the human soul and psyche. Perhaps this is why life and death is one of the most frequent topics in the divans of Arab poets, especially resistance poets. Ahmed Matar, as a poet who expresses the problems and sufferings of the people can be found everywhere in his poems, is no exception to this rule. In this research, relying on the descriptive and analytical method, it is trying to investigate Ahmad Matar's view on life and death, from his poems. The results of this research show that Matar is a poet who doesn't miss any opportunity to express the pains and sufferings of the people, and he also connects death with the pain and problems of Arab society and rulers, and whether people are alive or dead depends on their awakening in the face of oppression. Knows. By mixing death and life with themes such as the suffocation of the ruler, the Palestinian issue and the indifference of the Arab society and fear, by reminding of death, Matar calls people to strive and fight for a better life and not to be afraid of death. According to him, a person who is silent and ignores the tyranny of the rulers and the pain of his countrymen is dead.
