Social analysis of the elements of Touq al-Tahara novel by Mohammad Hassan Alwan with special attention to narration techniques and the first person point of view of the story.

Abstract

Mohammad Hassan Alwan is a contemporary Saudi storyteller who paid attention to the social situation of this land in his stories. Among his works is "Touq al-Tahara", whose main hero is a young character named "Hasan", who suffers from emotional paradoxes and expresses his philosophy about love and relationship with the female sex in the framework of psychological injuries left by the environment. Social tests. Alwan's skill in using narration techniques and the appropriate angle of view has made the narration element play an effective role in advancing the story, characterization, description of scenes and events, and believability of the story. The experience and life of the Saudi youth and the incident of his sexual abuse in school, which led to his relationship with women, are evident in the story, along with the social situation of the Saudi society. The purpose of this work is to introduce the story elements of the book "Touq al-Tahara" by Mohammad Hassan Alwan, which has been able to contribute to contemporary fiction writing. The clear, simple and transparent language of the author and the absence of complexity and ambiguity show the realism of the story to the audience. In it, the author criticizes the ruling system of Saudi Arabia and talks about the situation of the ruler in his land. The prominent elements of his story writing are: the introduction or beginning of the story, the theme, plot, plot, conflict, panic, crisis and climax, character, point of view, time, place and dialogue. This research examines the story elements in the mentioned story with the method of library study and descriptive-analytical.
