Abstract

Translation is one of the most important ways of transmitting messages and communicating between languages. Providing a proper translation and accurate message requires principles and rules that in some cases, strict adherence to the original source language, in addition to the damage it does to the target language, causes a kind of complexity, unfamiliarity and ambiguity in the translation prose. And it causes the source text to lose its beauty and sweetness. To solve this problem, one of the practical techniques is to use different equation methods; However, despite the use of this technique, in some cases, translators of languages, especially translators of Arabic and Persian, face challenges that make translation very difficult. The existence of verbal commonality, words involved, differences in the language family and grammatical ambiguities between the two languages is one of the main reasons that translators, especially foreigners, will suffer from this language if they are not aware of it. In this article, relying on the descriptive-analytical method, while providing a brief definition of the concept of equivalence and its techniques, an attempt has been made to examine the most important of these challenges and obstacles facing translators. In the end, it was found that the structural differences between Persian and Arabic, lexical ambiguity, grammatical ambiguity, multiplicity of semantic context, the presence of words involved, differences in the linguistic family is one of the most important factors hindering the transfer of accurate and complete meaning from the source language. Awareness of translators of these categories can be a good way forward for them.
