Textbooks are among the most important instruments for achieving the goals of the educational system and play a key role in operationalizing the macro-policies of the Ministry of Education. In the Fundamental Transformation Document, the six dimensions of education are introduced as a framework for guiding the teaching–learning process; therefore, identifying the extent to which the components of each dimension are reflected in textbook content can reveal the degree of alignment between the implemented curriculum and the intended curriculum. This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the content of lower secondary Arabic textbooks in order to determine the level of attention paid to the components of the six educational dimensions. The research employed a descriptive method and content analysis with a mixed (qualitative–quantitative) approach. The study population consisted of Arabic textbooks for grades seven, eight, and nine (2021 edition), and due to the limited size of the population, all of them were examined. The data collection instrument was a content analysis checklist including 46 components derived from the six dimensions, which was used to identify and record educational manifestations in texts and images, and its content validity was confirmed by experts. In data analysis, after counting the frequency of the components, Shannon’s entropy method was used to calculate the weight and importance coefficient of each dimension. The findings showed that, in total, there were 1,361 references to educational components. The highest frequency and importance coefficient belonged to the social–political dimension, and the lowest to the artistic–aesthetic and economic–vocational
