Abstract

Background and goals: One of the components of nostalgia is the sadness of being away from a loved one. Nostalgia refers to distance, separation pain, homesickness, longing for past memories and longing to return to it. Nostalgic poet based on the events that happened in his life, such as the death of a family or a loved one who mourns, imprisonment and exile, migration (away from the familiar homeland, sadness of homelessness, away from the beloved, etc.); Remembering the memories of childhood and youth, etc, causes him to write down and express his emotions and feelings; Therefore, his poems take on a nostalgic tone.

Methods: In this research, an attempt is made to analyze, with a descriptive-analytical method, the nostalgia of being away from the beloved and its components in Amr al-Qais' suspension.

Findings and conclusions: The results of the research show that the nostalgia of being away from the beloved has had a remarkable reflection in Amr al-Qais' poem, and recalling the memories of the beloved, sadness and longing, the rebelliousness of the beloved and the bitterness of the path of love, romantic imaginations in the description of beauty
