Abstract

Arabic syntax or grammar is considered one of the most important subjects in the undergraduate course as well as in additional courses for non-Arabic speakers. The way of teaching this subject has always been mixed with many difficulties, and students and learners always point to the strictness and uniformity of the rules, dry and inactive teaching methods, and issues like this. In this essay, while emphasizing on separating the two categories of scientific syntax and educational syntax, traditional strategies have been mentioned and their merits and demerits have been considered. In addition to that, new strategies have been proposed for the use of professors, and their advantages and disadvantages have also been investigated. The result of this research is that we should pay more attention to its practical aspects while avoiding teaching unnecessary syntactical topics, and use new and collaborative strategies to improve the teaching-learning process.
